PAWIS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

ABOUT US

Paa Willie International School was founded and built on 11th September 2007, by William Boateng with Eighteen Children three Teachers and one cook. The vision is to provide excellent educational opportunities for children in remote and developing areas of the Region, giving a fair chance in life at competing, with their contemporaries in  education that involves a versatile curriculum for everyday living information.

The school is privately owned. It started as a Crèche and it is now up to primary level.   The structure is set on eight plot of land in the Asante Akim North Municipal Assembly at Konongo Habitat Estate.

Before the presence of Paa Willie International School there was no other school within the community. The children had to commute this long distance to schools in Konongo.

The children at PAWIS are treated with care and courtesy, being respected for their rights as individuals. We help to build a high sense of discipline and respect amongst our pupils and others.

At PAWIS International School, we teach children to be honest, hardworking while at the same time helping to build a healthy self mind and body in each child that passes through this school. The high level of exposure we provide for our pupils ensures that they develop an ambitious approach to life and a purpose in pursuing their academic development.

We want our children to be equipped not only with the foundation skills of literacy, numeracy, science and ICT but also with a range of future orientated skills and capabilities.

OUR GOALS
The school has acquired eight plots of land for the coming years expansion: more classroom blocks and a possible hostel for the school. We have had parents from the community requesting for boarding facilities which will be dealt with in future.

We are also preparing feasibility studies for a parallel school within the Konongo Municipality, where we can set up a model school that competes with international standards at an affordable cost.

We would like to create a library within the community to serve avaricious reading habit we hope to achieve in the students, create an avenue for a positive pass time that is stimulating as well as educational. In doing this we hope to achieve our goal of guiding young children towards a focused learning path that they too can enjoy in the process, a cultivated habit that can guide children to other recreative learning habits besides the television.

OUR MOTTO:         KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
